EVANSTON, Ill.–International Institute for Nanotechnology (IIN)-affiliated researcher and Northwestern Chemistry Professor Julia Kalow is an investigator in a new National Science Foundation (NSF) Centers for Chemical Innovation (CCI) project focused on enhancing polymer networks through molecular optimization.

The Kalow lab engages in research at the interface of organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and materials science through two distinct approaches: materials-inspired reaction discovery and reactivity-driven materials discovery.

The International Institute for Nanotechnology at Northwestern University is an umbrella organization that represents and unites more than $1 billion in nanotechnology research, education and supporting infrastructure.
