Pam joined the IIN staff in August 2011 and efficiently assumed responsibility for financial management of Professor Mirkin’s grant portfolio, coordination of grant proposals, and support of the 60+ researchers encompassing payroll and effort functions, purchasing support, and lab and facilities management. With such a variety and volume of tasks, Pam’s outstanding organizational skills, bachelor’s degree in Finance, and an MBA in Accountancy from DePaul University are particularly important. She also brings a diverse background in commercial credit/lending, corporate accounting and budgets, real estate appraisal, and small business ownership to the table. Pam and her husband, Fred, have two sons. Andrew is a teacher in Chicago, and Zachary is working at U.S. News & World Report in Washington, DC. When not working, Pam likes spending time with family and friends, and reading.
