Faculty Mentor: Chad Mirkin
Wenjie Zhou received a B.S. in Chemistry from Nankai University, China. His research work is currently focused on building 2D and 3D materials using well-defined nanoparticle building blocks for nanophotonic studies. This research involves a fundamental understanding of interactions between oligonucleotide-functionalized nanoparticles, development of strategies for synthesizing nanoparticles-assembled materials, and the fabrication of nanoparticle-based optical devices. This research may provide important insight to future applications such as flat lenses and optoelectronic devices.
