Cindy Zheng received her B.S. in Chemistry and a minor in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research is currently focused on studying the optical properties of multimetallic nanoparticles. This involves electrodynamics simulations using finite-difference, time-domain, and discrete dipole approximation methods, as well as experimental optical measurements, which is important for use in future applications, like biodetection and optoelectronics.
