Radha Boya, former Mirkin Research Group postdoctoral student, is a recipient of a 2018 Royal Society Fellowship, the most prestigious early career research fellowship in the U.K.
The Royal Society University Research Fellowship program aims to provide outstanding early scientists, who have the potential to become leaders in their chosen fields, with the opportunity to build an independent research career. The program is extremely competitive and fellows “are expected to be strong candidates for permanent posts in universities at the end of their fellowships,” according to a Royal Society news release. Many Royal Society fellows go on “to enjoy significant national or international recognition for their work.”
Radha will begin her 5-year, full-salaried fellowship at the University of Manchester in October.
The International Institute for Nanotechnology at Northwestern University is an umbrella organization that represents and unites more than $1 billion in nanotechnology research, education and supporting infrastructure.
