Girl and Boy Scouts will enjoy a fun-filled day that includes lectures and interactive activities about nanotechnology, informal presentations by graduate students, demonstrations on high-end equipment, and laboratory tours. Each participating troop will present a poster on an aspect of nanotechnology, and a team of graduate students will judge the posters and award medals to the troops whose posters demonstrate the highest quality content, creativity, and presentation. Parents have an opportunity to meet with a Northwestern researcher to discuss ways in which they can encourage and support their children’s interest in science and engineering. The day concludes with a pizza party and a poster award ceremony.
Registration for this event is currently closed. For more information, please contact Margaret Connolly, email@example.com.
