Adam Silverman

Chemical & Biological Engineering

Faculty Mentors: Michael Jewett and Julius Lucks

Research

Adam Silverman received a B.S .in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech. His research is currently focused on developing inexpensive and user-friendly diagnostics for detecting pollutants in drinking water by harnessing natural biological sensors from bacteria and using them to produce outputs that are visible to the naked eye.

Awards & Fellowships

  • National Institutes of Health Biotechnology Training Program Trainee (2017-2018)
  • Cabell Fellowship (2016)
  • George C. Thodos Teaching Assistant Award (2018)
