Tiffany Ly received a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University. Her current research focus is on the mechanism of nanoparticle growth during hydrothermal synthesis and connecting it to the surface structure of complex oxide nanoparticles. Oxide surfaces and nanoparticles are important for applications like catalysis, so having a better understanding of their structures will lead to better designs in future technology.
